Tawney Giles

“Miss. Tawney!” is the anthem of all our youngest (and cutest!) dancers! Tawney Giles is also an example of a born and bred Strutter! She is the co-director of The Southern Strutt, and also grew up training at the studio under the direction of her mom, Miss. Nancy Giles. Tawney studied all disciplines of dance and music throughout her life. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles to further her education and work professionally in the entertainment business. Tawney was in the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular for 7 years as a dancers and singer. She has also worked many commercial and music video jobs. Miss. Tawney has been teaching for 23 years specializing in jazz technique, flexibility, conditioning, body placement, and acrobatics. She is also a certified “Acrobatic Arts” instructor. Tawney is known for her work with ages 5-12 and her ability to instill a solid foundation in children’s training which sets them up for continued success throughout their dance years. Tawney teaches and directs the Itty Bitty, Pee Wee, and Petites Companies and is known nation wide for her talented “little ones!” She is also the head instructor of the Acro program at The Southern Strutt, and is the costume designer for all our beautiful costumes! Miss. Tawney is looking forward to another wonderful year with her dancers!
