Linelle Yates

Pre-school

Linelle has been teaching dance for 30 years, 13 of those at Southern Strutt. Originally from Iowa, she majored in dance at the University of Iowa and trained with Hanya Holm at Colorado College. After studying three years in New York City, she was a member of Case & Company, a modern troupe under the direction of Babs Case.

Linelle also performed with the Treasure Coast Players, a professional theatre group based in South Florida. She loves to choreograph and has achieved national recognition at various competitions. A previous owner of dance studios in Jacksonville, NC, and Beaufort, SC, she currently owns and directs the Gilbert Studio of Dance Arts in Gilbert, SC, where she resides with her husband and three children.
